Barbershop
Concept projectThe Local Barber Co.
A booking-focused site for a barbershop that treats its own branding like a craft — because it is one.
The Project
The Local Barber Co. is a self-directed concept project exploring what a neighborhood barbershop's site looks like when the brand is treated with the same craft as the haircuts themselves.
The Challenge
Barbershop sites are usually an afterthought — a phone number and an address on a template page. The goal here was the opposite: a site confident enough to reflect a shop that takes its own identity seriously, while still making the one thing that actually matters — booking a slot — completely frictionless.
The Approach
The design pairs a confident, craft-forward visual identity with a booking flow that stays out of its own way, so style and usability aren't competing with each other.
- Booking-first structure — service and time selection in as few steps as possible
- Clear service and pricing menu, presented without clutter
- A visual identity built to feel like a real, established shop, not a placeholder
- Mobile-first build, since most bookings happen from a phone
The Result
As a concept project, The Local Barber Co. doesn't have live booking data. It was designed to prove that a small local business's site can look genuinely crafted without making it harder to book an appointment.
